Islamophobia in India has increased since 9/11, especially under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This study shows that Islamophobia leads to violence against Muslims in India, involving Hindu and Muslim groups. Different forms of violence, like direct, structural, and cultural violence, are seen. Hindutva ideology, right-wing groups, and Indian media all contribute to the growth of Islamophobia in India.
