Inclusive Campus Resources Reduce Dropout Rates Among Transgender College Students.
Transgender and nonbinary college students are more likely to drop out of college than cisgender students. This study looked at the resources available on campuses for these students. Having supportive resources like LGBTQ+ organizations and gender-inclusive policies can make TNB students feel safer and less likely to leave college. Some resources, like all-gender bathrooms, were more common than others, such as gender-inclusive housing. Higher education institutions should prioritize policies that support TNB students to improve retention rates.
