The study looked at how fifth-grade students in Sumedang used the Duolingo app to learn English vocabulary. They found that students liked using Duolingo because it helped them feel motivated to learn, learn new words, remember vocabulary easily, and use English in daily conversations. However, some challenges were also identified, like differences between school lessons and Duolingo content, and limited access to technology in class. Overall, the research suggests that with some adjustments and support, Duolingo can be a helpful tool for improving students' English skills, especially in learning new words.
