Study reveals tree regeneration differences in Qinling Mountains secondary forests.
The study looked at how different types of trees grow in secondary forests in the Qinling Mountains. They found that some forests had more young trees than others, and some trees were better at growing back after being cut down. Pine and oak forests had the most young trees, while birch forests had the least. Pine and oak forests were better at growing new trees, while birch forests struggled. Some forests were better at sprouting new trees than others. Overall, pine and oak forests were better at regenerating than birch forests.
