The article presents two examples of two-dimensional systems and calculates the Lyapunov exponents for the starting point (0, 0). In the first example, the forward trajectory has a positive Lyapunov exponent but doesn't show sensitivity to initial conditions. On the other hand, the second example has a negative Lyapunov exponent and does exhibit sensitivity to initial conditions.
