Sulphur boosts cotton and sunflower yields by over 20%!
The researchers studied how adding sulphur to the soil affected the growth of cotton and sunflower plants. They tested different levels of sulphur and found that both crops grew better with 30 kg of sulphur per hectare. The plants had higher sulphur and phosphorus levels in their seeds with sulphur application. The yield of cotton increased by 23.5% and sunflower by 16.5% with the right amount of sulphur. Overall, adding sulphur to the soil improved the growth and nutrient content of the plants.
