Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) are important for companies, but traditional ones focus more on modeling and automation than on improving efficiency. This study used data mining to analyze log data from BPMS and found useful knowledge hidden in the data. They created a data model and system framework for process mining, which proved effective in experiments with simulated data.
