Armenian agriculture booming, but struggles to meet international demand.
The agricultural sector in Armenia is crucial for the economy, employing many people and contributing significantly to the GDP. Despite facing challenges, policies and projects have helped increase agricultural output over time. Both crop and livestock production have seen growth, but there is still room for improvement to meet the needs of the population and international markets. To enhance agricultural productivity, it is recommended to involve farmers in planning, support export-oriented products, adopt new technologies and seeds, establish better connections between research institutions and farmers, and provide access to credit facilities.
