Legal education overhaul needed to bridge gap with practice
The article discusses how legal education can better align with the practice of law by focusing on different understandings of law. It argues that current instrumentalist views of law mischaracterize legal practice, and suggests a mode of legal understanding that respects both practice and academic study. By examining nuisance cases in Coase's article on social cost, the article highlights the limitations of interdisciplinary study in law.
