Revolutionizing Crop Production: Mulching Boosts Maize and Wheat Yields!
Tillage and mulching methods were studied to see how they affect maize and wheat crops and soil quality. Minimum tillage and polyethylene or straw mulch gave the best results, with higher crop yields and profits. These methods also helped conserve moisture and improve soil quality. Conventional tillage and no tillage had lower yields and profits compared to minimum tillage with mulching. Overall, using minimum tillage with polyethylene or straw mulch is a good choice for growing maize and wheat in dry areas.
