The research shows that education has a bigger impact on earnings than previously thought. By using different methods to estimate the effect of schooling on income, it was found that traditional ways underestimate this relationship. Specifically, when looking at children from disadvantaged families, interventions that influence their schooling choices lead to higher estimates of the impact of education on earnings compared to standard calculations.
