Construction industry accidents declining with new model predicting future safety trends.
The article analyzes accidents in the Polish construction industry from 1992 to 2003. It looks at different types of accidents (minor, serious, fatal) and how their frequency and seriousness changed over time. A new way to measure accidents, called the standardised accident rate, is suggested to better understand the overall accident situation. The researchers developed a model to predict how accidents may change based on accident rates and seriousness.
