A workshop was held in 1988 to discuss how electric utilities can buy gas turbines that are reliable, available, and easy to maintain. Utility workers, experts, and workshop organizers talked about their experiences with buying gas turbines. They focused on things like how to evaluate bids, how to make sure the turbines work well, and how to upgrade old turbines. A new topic in the workshop was about warranties for the turbines. Each utility project is handled separately for the databases.
