Lack of Revenue Hinders Development Efforts in Local Governments.
Local governments in KOGI East Senatorial District face challenges in generating enough revenue for development. A study was conducted to see how revenue generation affects government development efforts in selected local councils. The researchers used data from different sources and analyzed it using a statistical method. They found that there is a clear link between revenue generated and government development efforts. The areas studied showed poor development, lack of basic amenities for rural people, and insufficient funds to maintain existing infrastructure. The researchers suggest that providing high-quality amenities could lead to more support from the people and ultimately improve rural area development.
