The article examines income inequality in Cyprus from 1991 to 2003. Two methods were used to study the trend over this period. The results show conflicting information on overall income inequality, but it is clear that some households saw improvements while others experienced worsening positions in the income distribution. The study also looked at the reasons behind income differences between households, which is crucial for creating effective policies to address rising inequality.
