Revolutionizing Interconnected Devices Across Industrial, Telecom, Auto, and Home Domains!
The SIRENA project, started in 2003, aimed to connect different types of devices in industrial, telecommunication, automotive, and home automation domains using a service-oriented framework. They developed a framework based on Devices Profile for Web Services (DPWS) to ensure interoperability and extensibility of networks. The DPWS stack created by the SIRENA consortium is the first of its kind globally and will be crucial for future Microsoft Windows. The project successfully demonstrated the operation of the framework in various scenarios, providing tools and services for advanced device development and maintenance.
