A new method was developed to help plan highways in Dallas more efficiently. It looks at different types of roads and estimates costs like construction and traffic. The goal is to find the cheapest option. The method was tested on five roads in Dallas and found that adding toll lanes and high occupancy/toll lanes could be good alternatives. This could help reduce traffic and save money in the long run.
