Boosting crop yields and soil fertility with integrated nutrient management
The study looked at how different ways of adding nutrients to rice fields affected the yield and nutrient uptake of lentils grown afterwards. They found that using the right amount of nitrogen on rice increased the yield and nutrient uptake of lentils. Adding organic sources along with urea also improved the yield and nutrient uptake of both rice and lentils. The best results were seen when a mix of carpet waste and urea was used on rice, leading to the highest yield and nutrient uptake. Additionally, using dhaincha green-manuring along with urea on rice had a positive effect on the yield and nutrient uptake of lentils grown afterwards.
