The article discusses the impact of introducing renewable energy, specifically micro hydro, on local communities in Japan after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Due to the shutdown of nuclear plants, there is a focus on utilizing renewable energy sources like hydro energy. Micro hydro, which generates a small amount of electricity without the need for a large dam, is gaining attention for its benefits. Communities have successfully revitalized by building micro hydro facilities using small rivers or irrigation channels. The study aims to analyze the impact of micro hydro on communities and find efficient ways to introduce eco-conscious renewable energy.
