Firefighters were trained to navigate through a building using blueprints or virtual reality. The study found that those trained with virtual reality or blueprints rescued a mock baby more quickly and accurately than those with no training. The results suggest that virtual reality training could be a useful method for improving navigation skills in firefighters.
