Geothermal-powered district heating slashes energy costs, boosts sustainability.
A new district heating method using hot water and a ground source absorption heat pump was developed to improve heating efficiency and reduce costs. This system can provide more heat without needing to expand the heating system or use more energy. By using high temperature water instead of electricity, the new system is more efficient and consumes less power. It also requires a smaller underground heat exchanger and less heat extraction in winter, helping to balance heat between seasons.
