Residents in Vientiane, Laos were asked how much they would pay to clean up road dust. The study found that on average, people were willing to pay 7069 kip (USD0.86) per month, which is about 4.7% of their monthly income. Education and income levels made people more likely to pay, while having more children in the family made them less likely to pay. This information can help city leaders make decisions about reducing dust on urban roads in Vientiane.
