Polish Banks Vulnerable to Liquidity Crisis, Relying on External Funding.
The article examines how well Polish banks can handle their money in times of crisis. Researchers looked at five different ways to measure this from 2001 to 2011. They found that most banks in Poland have less money available now, mostly because of the financial crisis. Many banks rely on outside sources for money, like loans from other banks or help from the government. Only a few banks use deposits to fund their loans. Overall, big and medium-sized banks depend more on outside help, while small banks keep more money on hand.
