Moving average trading strategies were tested on ETFs and assets, showing that most are not profitable overall. However, some strategies can make extra profits on certain assets. The study used statistical tests to confirm these results, finding that most trading outcomes were statistically significant. Interestingly, moving average strategies no longer work well on emerging markets, which were previously thought to be good for this type of trading.
