New herbicide combinations revolutionize weed control in glyphosate-resistant soybean fields!
The researchers tested different herbicide combinations to control weeds in soybean fields resistant to glyphosate. They found that using a mix of herbicides or applying them at different times improved weed control compared to using glyphosate alone. For giant foxtail, a late application of glyphosate or a grass herbicide before glyphosate was needed for full control. Common lambsquarters were well controlled by glyphosate alone, but other herbicides followed by glyphosate were more effective. Velvetleaf control was improved by using a mix of herbicides before glyphosate or applying glyphosate multiple times, but adding glyphosate to certain herbicides decreased effectiveness.
