Collective Bargaining Empowers Workers, Reduces Inequality in Changing Economy
Collective bargaining is a way for workers to negotiate with their employers for better pay and working conditions. However, fewer workers are part of unions now, making it harder for them to bargain effectively. This paper looks at how collective bargaining has changed over time and how it is adapting to new challenges. It shows that collective bargaining is important for protecting workers during economic crises and for coming up with new ways to help all types of workers, not just full-time employees. The authors believe that government support is crucial for keeping collective bargaining strong.
