New model boosts efficiency of large solar arrays in low light.
The study focused on improving the mathematical model of large photovoltaic arrays using the double diode model. By optimizing parameters and simulating the array in MATLAB, researchers found that the model accurately predicts output characteristics under different light and temperature conditions. Experimental data confirmed that the model performs better in low light and high temperature scenarios compared to the single diode model, making it suitable for various types of large photovoltaic arrays.
