Central and Eastern Europe Bracing for Significant Climate Shifts in Coming Decades
Regional climate models were used to predict future climate changes in Central and Eastern Europe. The models showed that temperatures will increase by 0-3°C by 2050 and 2-5°C by 2100, with less warming in the northwest. Precipitation changes will be small, within +1 to -1 mm/day. The models amplified regional climate features, especially the ALADIN models.
