Streamlined Design Process Unlocks Innovative Solutions for Everyday Problems
Axiomatic design is a useful tool for creating good designs, but it has some limitations. To address this, the researchers combined functional basis and TRIZ to improve the design process. By using functional basis as a standard way to model functions and incorporating TRIZ principles for problem-solving, they were able to enhance the efficiency of axiomatic design. This integration helped to reduce the variability in function-structure models and provided a theoretical basis for solving design problems.
