Rooftop Solar Panels Deliver Dual Energy Savings for Syrian Buildings
The researchers designed and tested a solar energy system at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Aleppo. This system combines solar panels with thermal collectors to generate both electricity and heat. They found that connecting the solar panels to the thermal collector efficiently increased energy output. By using this system, the building could save 6133 S.P/year in thermal energy and 1579 S.P/year in electrical energy.
