The article discusses how 3D models of buildings are created using data from Terrestrial Laser Scanners (TLS) in CityGML format. CityGML helps store both geometric and semantic information for efficient visualization. By using TLS data, researchers were able to generate detailed building models in different levels of detail (LOD1, LOD2, and LOD3) without the need for additional costly data sources. This method proved effective in creating accurate 3D building models for various applications.
