Floating Weed Cleans Polluted Waters, Restoring Ecosystems
The study looked at how water plants can help clean up polluted water. They found that the water plant Eichhornia crassipes can grow well in water with high levels of nitrogen and phosphorus. Over a year, the plant absorbed a lot of nitrogen and phosphorus from the water, especially in water with lower pollution levels. This shows that Eichhornia crassipes can play a big role in removing nitrogen and phosphorus from polluted water.
