Anyons, a type of particle with unique properties, exhibit fractional statistics. By using simple wave functions, it was shown that anyons can behave like bosons or fermions depending on the values of their charge and magnetic flux. When the product of charge and flux equals pi, anyons act like fermions. For other values, they follow intermediate statistics.
