The researchers studied the effluent from a dye industry to see if it could be used for irrigation. They looked at the physical and chemical properties of the untreated and treated effluent, as well as groundwater. The pH and EC values of the treated effluent were suitable for irrigation. The concentrations of trace elements in the effluent were mostly within recommended levels for irrigation. Overall, the treated effluent was found to be suitable for irrigation use.
