New Method Drains Soft Soil Faster, Improving Foundation Stability.
The study analyzed how pore water pressure changes in soft soil when using a method called dynamic drainage consolidation. By using a numerical simulation method, researchers found that the pressure in the mud decreases with depth and is higher than in a drainage channel called sang bag well. This shows that sang bag well is effective in draining water during consolidation. The study also suggests that the depth of effective consolidation can be accurately predicted based on the pore water pressure variations.
