After 1 hour of contact, some seeds showed reduced viability, but the effects on Rhizobium were not significant. Trifolium repens seed was most affected, with viability decreasing by up to 30%. Other species tested were not significantly impacted. This suggests that when using high fertilizer concentrations, it may be necessary to separate Trifolium repens seed from the seed mix for hydroseeding.
