Bioaugmentation boosts wastewater treatment efficiency for cleaner cities and healthier communities!
A study tested how adding special bacteria to wastewater treatment systems affects the breakdown of harmful substances. They ran tests for 30 months using different types of wastewater and conditions. The results showed that adding the bacteria helped break down the substances better when the wastewater was stronger and the system was older. It also made the breakdown process start sooner. The speed of breakdown and the system's ability to keep working were not affected by the bacteria.
