Immigration boosts wages for native and immigrant workers, except Latino immigrants.
The study looked at how immigration affected wages in the U.S. from 1980 to 1990. They found that immigration did not lower wages for native workers during this time. In fact, wages for both native and immigrant workers in areas with high immigration increased. However, Latino immigrants were negatively impacted by immigration. Overall, the study suggests that the economy was able to handle immigrants during this period without harming wages for most workers.
