Climate models predict dryer future for tropical regions, threatening livelihoods
Regional climate models like REMO can change the projected climate change signal from global models like MPI-ESM. The study looked at different regions using CORDEX and found that while both models show similar warming trends, REMO predicts drier conditions in tropical regions compared to MPI-ESM. As radiative forcing increases towards the end of the century, differences between the two models become more pronounced.
