Polling models are used to study systems where one server handles multiple queues. State-Dependent (SD) polling models are a type where the server only works on a queue if it has requests. Analyzing SD polling models accurately has been difficult, limiting their use in real-world systems. This paper introduces a new method to precisely calculate performance measures for SD polling models, improving their applicability in various fields like radio frequency data communication and warehouse management.
