The study looked at how shrimp and tilapia grow together in tanks with different densities and feeding methods. They found that adding tilapia to shrimp tanks made the shrimp grow slower and eat less efficiently. But adding shrimp to tilapia tanks didn't affect the fish. The best combination for polyculture was having 2 tilapia and either 2.5 or 5 shrimp per square meter, with feeding based on the fish's needs.
