Improved Doctor-Patient Communication Empowers Hispanic Families to Ask Questions
The study aimed to improve communication in a Hispanic pediatric clinic by introducing Ask-Me-3, a program encouraging parents to ask questions. Before the program, no parents knew about Ask-Me-3. After 6 months, 42% of parents were aware of it, and half of them used the questions. By simply introducing Ask-Me-3, 20% of parents were using it six months later.
