The researchers mapped the likelihood of different soil properties in a specific area. They used field experiments to estimate how water moves through the soil. The maps showed that around 39% of the area has high sorptivity, which helps soil absorb water quickly. Additionally, about 33% of the area has high hydraulic conductivity, which means water can flow easily through the soil.
