Equine embryos found to linger in oviduct, delaying uterine entry
Equine embryos are mostly found near the ampullary-isthmic junction in the oviduct before entering the uterus on Day 6 post ovulation. The transport of embryos through the oviduct is rapid, with most embryos staying near the junction until just before entering the uterus. When Day 5 embryos were transferred to the opposite oviduct, they took longer to reach the uterus, suggesting a potential interference with the normal transport process.
