Revolutionizing Ethanol Production: Cedar to Fuel in One Step!
Researchers found a way to turn steam-exploded cedar into ethanol efficiently by using a special process called SSDF. They used a microorganism to break down harmful substances in the cedar that were stopping alcohol production. By doing this, they were able to get a high amount of ethanol from the cedar, reaching 74% of the maximum possible yield. This method could help make ethanol production more effective and sustainable.
