Lower air velocity boosts pig growth, higher temperature increases feed intake.
The study looked at how air velocity and temperature affect the growth of weanling pigs. They used special chambers to control these factors and observed 128 pigs over two weeks. They found that lower air velocity led to better weight gain in the pigs. On the other hand, lower air temperature resulted in pigs eating more food. The researchers did not see any clear trend in the amount of weight gained compared to the amount of food consumed.
