A study looked at how adding electric motors to regular cars can improve fuel efficiency. They focused on small motors in the wheels, which can only be up to 10kW each. By simulating different scenarios, they found that the size and efficiency of these motors can greatly affect how much fuel the converted hybrid cars use.
