The researchers used seismic data and well logs to predict where certain types of rock and how porous they are in an underground formation. They analyzed different seismic attributes to create maps showing the distribution of rock types and porosity in sandstones. By comparing well data with seismic data, they were able to estimate the properties of the rocks in the area.
