Revolutionizing Crop Cultivation: Mapping Highly Suitable Land for Rice and Wheat
Land suitability for rice and wheat cultivation in Ghatal block, West Bengal was assessed using soil factors like NPK status, PH, OC, and soil texture. The study used a method to rate land suitability and classified it into different classes. By analyzing data with Remote Sensing and GIS, it was found that only 12.71% of land is highly suitable for rice cultivation, while 7.78% is highly suitable for wheat cultivation in the area.
