Sperm donors reject end of anonymity, threatening access for single and lesbian women.
The survey looked at sperm donors' opinions on using their sperm for insemination in Denmark. Donors were asked if they would still donate if their identity was revealed, and most said they wouldn't. Only a small percentage agreed to be contacted by children born from their donation. Donors were motivated by both altruism and money. About half were okay with donating to lesbian couples, and one-third were open to single women. Most donors still prefer to remain anonymous.
